DIY Divorce
With our DIY Divorce package you can arrange your own divorce, with minimum fuss and for a set fee of £100 + VAT and outlays.
This is a simplified divorce procedure which can only be used if you met the following conditions:
- You or your spouse have been resident in Scotland for at least 12 months
- There are no children under 16
- All financial matters have been agreed
- You wish to apply for a divorce based on a one year separation with consent or a two years separation with no consent.
When you purchase this package you will be provided with a Divorce Application form as well as guidance notes to help complete the form and lodge it with the appropriate Court.
Free telephone and email advice will also be provided for any query relating to filling in the form or it’s submission to the Court.

Mandatory court fee of £95 payable to the court to initiate the court procedure, there may also be fees for the service by Sheriff Officers if the court has difficulty serving the summons on your spouse.
It is also necessary for the application to be signed before a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public. Most Solicitors are Notary Publics and they may charge a fee for this service. If you live near one of our offices, we will do this for you for free.
